  35.    Please follow Cellular's BBS rules but use these following 
  36.    Iditional rules where applicable for Amiga files.

  38.    Always archive in LhArc, LZH, LZX or DMS.

  40.    Zip files can be accepted but please make sure Unzip for 
  41.    Amiga can unzip the file.
  42.   
  43.    Please make sure when uploading that the file already doesnt
  44.    exist with a differnt name or in another area.  If there are
  45.    any duplicates found the file(s) SHALL be removed and all
  46.    credits lost.

  48.    Any Texts documents are preferd archived and not as plan TXT.

  50.    Please do not upload Commercial Games and Programs, users
  51.    found doing so will find themselfs being reported to SLFA.

  59.    601- Shareware Utils (Utils for the Amiga that don't require
  60.    The OS or WorkBench)

  62.    602- Hard/Floppy Utils (Utils for Amiga Hard Drive, Floppys,
  63.    Cd Roms, Zips, Syquest etc, anything to do with storage.)

  65.    603- Copiers/Archivers (programs for copying/archiving and
  66.    Backing up files)

  68.    604- Comms (Any Amiga files for Communication such as Email,
  69.    Web Browsers, TCP protical's, Ftp clients, Terminal programs)

  83.    it always helps to have a few of these)

  85.    609- Emulation Programs (This is where you will find programs
  86.    for the Amiga that EMULATE another computer or console, 
  87.    to date (27/07/97) I see C64, Spectrum, Atari 2600, BBC,
  88.    Amstrad, PC, Macintosh, GameBoy, MasterSystem, GameGear,
  89.    NES and Arcade Emulators for the Amiga in this area)

  91.    610- Shareware Pro Software (Any Shareware Full or Demo's of
  92.    Programs that can be used in business, such as Word Processiors,
  93.    Database programs, Graphical programs etc)

  95.    611- Printer Drivers (drivers that allow you to print to your
  96.    specific printer)

  98.    612- Mods (Amiga MOD files, also any MED files can be used as
  99.    well, basically any Amiga created sound file, but you MUST list
  100.    what format it was created in IE MOD, MED etc.)

  102.    613- Games Patches (Any Patches/Cheats or Sollutions for Amiga
  103.    Commerical Games, if you have a fave game its always worth 
  104.    checking to see if someone has written a patch for it!)

  106.    614- Speccy Emu Games (Spectrum Emulator Games files, basically
  107.    a collection of old Spectrum games that will run with the 
  108.    Spectrum Emulators found in section 609)

  110.    615- Disk Mags (any Amiga specific or created magazine files,
  111.    be it disk, Amiga Guide or HTML!)

  113.    616- DemoScene (Amiga created demo files)

  115.    617- Datatypes (Amiga Datatypes add on's, many Amiga OS based
  116.    programs use datatypes as add on filters for there own import/
  117.    export uses, the more you have, the more the OS based programs
  118.    will be able to import/export. these also apply to the Workbench
  119.    itself.)

  121.    618- BBS Software (Any Amiga specific BBS software/files)

  123.    619- Texts (Amiga Specific text files, on any subject, you will
  124.    normally find hardware/software help and announcments in this 
  125.    section)

  128.    Lightwave or Imagine)

  130.    621- Ham Radio (Amiga based Ham Radio files or Amature Radio/
  131.    Cb listings etc!)

  136.    Games did'nt have hard drive installers, the chances are that

  143.    626- Amiga NUTTA magazine (Magazine dedicated for distrubution of
  144.    the best Amiga Games magazine there is the AMIGA NUTTA, Cellular
  145.    BBS are the offical distrubution site in the UK for the magazine,
  146.    The editor uploads it as soon as its finished to the file area.

  148.    627- Arcade Game Roms (Collection of Roms that work with Arcade
  149.    emulators like MAME (PC) or AMAME (amiga)
  150.  
  151.    628- Slideshows (Amiga Slideshows of any subject/content, all
  152.    adult slideshows should remain within UK law.)

  154.    All the above are Amiga sepefic file areas where nothing else 
  155.    will be for any other machine, areas 1-500+ will contain PC,
  156.    Mac, ST files, plus all the adult areas and many Ham Radio,
  157.    Cellular Communications files.  There are new areas being added
  158.    from area 650 unwards up to over 700, Cellular is growing weekly
  159.    with new areas, if you want a new area, ask either Paul Young or
  160.    Jon Porter to see if its worthwhile, and if you do have a suggestion
  161.    please support that area!

  167.    your not sure, then let Jon Porter know and Ill find a file

  170.    MAIL AREAS
  171.    ----------

  173.    Cellular now has 7 specific Mail echos for the Amiga computer,
  174.    please check the Mail system on Cellular as it supports offline
  175.    QWK and BlueWave mail.  also the LHA packing is also now working.
  176.    Dowloading mail from Cellular is very simple, I reccomend a program
  177.    like AmyBW which is configuerd nicely for easy setting up, you will
  178.    need a program called ZIP.LHA from the Amiga Archivers/Copiers
  179.    directory and copy the resulting file to your C: drawer in your 
  180.    Amiga's WorkBench.

  182.    Cellular's main mail network is QWK based, and Bluewave readers CAN
  183.    read the mailpackets, not as nicely as dedicated QWK readers, but I 
  184.    do like AmyBW, don't panic on opening a QWK packet in AmyBW you will
  185.    be confronted with loads of garbeled screens, this is quite normal, 
  186.    these are the scrambeled ANSI screens which AMYBW can't read, keep 
  187.    clicking you Left Mouse Button and then will end shortly then you
  188.    can read your mail.

  190.    Please note you MUST set your Offline Mail Packet options on Cellular
  191.    to pack with PKAZIP and NOT LhArc. (this is why you need ZIP.LHA as 
  192.    well)

  195.    USING CELLULAR FOR FILES
  196.    ------------------------

  198.    Not many people are aware that you can do DATED file searches on
  199.    specfic areas and not the whole BBS, if you are purly intrested 
  200.    in the Amiga files that have been uploaded recently simply do a 
  201.    New Files search and type in the days you wish to check back on
  202.    7 or 14 is a good idea, then you don't have to search the WHOLE
  203.    BBS you can enter specific file areas, if you enter 600-626 when
  204.    prompted for a file area, the BBS will only search the Amiga only
  205.    file areas for files uploaded within the last 7 or 14 days.

  207.    DOWNLOADING LARGE FILES
  208.    -----------------------

  210.    Now this can pose as being VERY tricky if you are NOT a member of
  211.    the BBS, but its NOT impossible.  as you will be aware, Cellular
  212.    allow all non members 60 minutes on line time split 3 ways, 20 
  213.    minutes in a go, however some files will be big and require longer
  214.    than 20 minutes, how do you do it? well simple, Cellular awards 
  215.    extra time for file uploads, if you uploade a 100-200k file you 
  216.    will be granted enough time to do the big file download.

  219.    Finnaly, some BBS hate offline File Requests (FREQS) Cellular
  220.    supports them because it eases the usage of time on the lines, 
  221.    try it and save yourself some time.

  227.    welcoming any other BBS's in the country to join up this wounderfull
  228.    new mail network.  Please grab hold of BBSnet.ZIP from the Free
